Summary

Li Yao, led by a female major, enters a military camp where soldiers fearfully regard him due to a previous incident where he overwhelmed a third-level Qi Refining cultivator. Inside a heavily guarded tent, he finds doctors operating on a spiritual mechanical body, which turns out to be Ding Yin, who has become a Ghost Cultivator after dying in battle. Ding Yin explains the transformation and the challenges of being a Ghost Cultivator. The atmosphere lightens as ghost cultivators reveal their playful nature. Ding Yin requests Li Yao's help with a mission involving the Federation Army's "Soul Search Squad," tasked with locating residual souls on the battlefield.
