Summary

In a serene courtyard adorned with flowers, characters Chen Jing Ji and Jin Lian face disappointment. Meanwhile, Xi Men Qing arrives at Liu Tai Jian's estate, greeted warmly by hosts Huang Zhu Shi and An Zhu Shi. After polite seating arrangements and a joyful tea and wine ceremony, performers entertain with music. Chen Jing Ji's frustration leads to a secretive encounter with Jin Lian, creating tension. Later, Xi Men Qing, returning home drunk, seeks intimacy with Yue Niang but respects her discomfort. The following day, rituals for blessings and heirs are observed by Yue Niang, while Xi Men Qing expresses gratitude for the previous night's hospitality to his friends.
