Summary

Jing City University's grand hall was packed for the annual Couplet Competition. Zhang Ye entered, flashed his pass, and took his seat, deciding not to participate in the final round despite being qualified. He overheard others questioning his abilities, suspecting he cheated in the preliminary round. The competition rules were announced, and the opening dance began. Zhang Ye chose not to compete, fearing he'd make a fool of himself, as he had been lucky in the preliminary round and wasn't confident in his knowledge of couplets. He wanted to leave a mysterious impression as a dark horse. The competition started with fifty contestants, three judges, and a speed-answer format. Zhang Ye sat with his colleagues, who were surprised by his decision not to participate.
