Chapter 113: Fragrant Garden. [116]

Summary

A Tu, a black dog, enjoys playing in the Kunlun Mountains, where there are no fierce beasts, only harmless animals and the cultivators of the Kunlun Sect. Despite being scolded by Lu Chen for returning home late, A Tu continues to explore the woods. One day, while playing alone, it discovers Dog Head Mountain, which resembles a dog's head. As A Tu climbs the mountain, it encounters various strange beasts and eventually reaches the peak, where it meets a massive Qing Niu. The Qing Niu playfully tosses A Tu away, leading it to return home injured days later. Yi Xin, concerned for A Tu, tends to its wounds, while Lu Chen is more pragmatic, expressing frustration over the dog's antics. Despite its injuries, A Tu remains affectionate but stubbornly refuses to leave Lu Chen's side. Meanwhile, Lu Chen begins working in the Maple Garden of Liuxiangpu, a medicinal garden, alongside other disciples, where they cultivate precious spiritual herbs. Their labor is tedious and often met with mockery from higher-ranking disciples, but Lu Chen remains unfazed. At the end of the day, he spots a graceful figure in the distance, hinting at further developments.
