Summary

In the depths of Yunpan Mountain, Wang Chong encounters a cat-like mutated creature that flees rather than attacking him, reflecting the new order of survival of the fittest on Earth. He contemplates the significance of the Huang Jin Shi Ban and the need to gather eleven stone slabs to prevent disaster. Upon returning to Tianjing, he learns of a public execution of his friends, including Baron and Herman, orchestrated by the Zhao family's Tian Long Guard. Filled with anger and determination, Wang Chong prepares to intervene. Meanwhile, in a dungeon beneath the Tianjing City Hall, prisoners, including Lily and Kao Er Bi, suffer from brutal conditions as they await execution. The Zhao family aims to instill fear by executing these individuals, hoping to draw out Ma Dong. The public execution is met with anger from the citizens of Tianjing, who realize the dark age has not passed, as the Zhao family exploits their power without consequence.
