Chapter 111: Empty Plans. [115]
Summary
Li Su showed Grand General Niu Jin Da a horseshoe, explaining its purpose and importance for the Tang Dynasty's war horses. Niu Jin Da was initially dismissive but soon became enthusiastic about the idea, realizing its potential to reduce the number of horse casualties. He praised Li Su, calling him a "young hero" and promised to record his achievement in the military merit book. However, when Li Su asked for a reward, Niu Jin Da ignored him and instead ordered the Arsenal Supervisor to forge more horseshoes for the cavalry units. Li Su was left disappointed and feeling unappreciated. Later, Niu Jin Da gave Li Su a piece of dried deer meat and some encouraging words, but still did not provide him with a tangible reward for his invention.Full content
