Chapter 11: Master Calls the Disciple Back, All for This Matter? [10]

Summary

Gu Xiu encounters a powerful one-eyed wolf demon in the Tianqi Mountain Range, realizing it is a second-tier demon beast. Despite its ferocity, he expresses reluctance to kill it. However, the wolf lunges at him, prompting Gu Xiu to prepare for a fight. Just then, a woman named Ye Hong Ling arrives, throwing a spear to stop the wolf and quickly dispatching it. After a brief interaction, where she offers him the demon's corpse, Gu Xiu declines and continues on his way, wary of others in the wilderness. Meanwhile, Nian Chao Xi returns to her sect, where her master, Guan Xue Lan, urgently requests her assistance in empowering a sword for her junior brother, Jiang Xun, instead of worrying about Gu Xiu, who has been missing. Chao Xi feels frustrated by her master's priorities but agrees to help, vowing to find Gu Xiu once she can.
