Summary

Yu and Li Xiao Gong agree to withdraw from Jingzhou to conserve strength against their real enemy, the forces in Xiyang County. Meanwhile, Sui General Zhang Xuan dispatches thirty thousand cavalry to Xiangyang City to intercept Wang Ren Ze’s army, which is attacking the city. As the siege intensifies, a gap in the southern city wall allows Wang Ren Ze to push his troops through, leading to fierce fighting. Just as the Zheng army appears to gain the upper hand, Luo Shi Xin’s cavalry arrives, overwhelming the Zheng forces and causing a rout. In the chaos, Wang Ren Ze escapes, but his troops face a brutal slaughter at the hands of the Sui cavalry, who cut off their escape routes and mercilessly kill the fleeing soldiers. The battlefield becomes a scene of despair and bloodshed as the Zheng army collapses.
