Summary

The chapter describes a retreat order given to a group of newcomer God Eaters during a battle against Wild Gods. Ya Li Sha, one of the God Eaters, questions the order, realizing that the higher-ups intend to sacrifice the regular soldiers to allow the God Eaters to escape. Despite the order, Ya Li Sha decides to stay behind and fight the Wild Gods, allowing the other soldiers to retreat. She fights bravely, slaying many Wild Gods, before spotting someone who remains behind as well. The chapter ends with Ya Li Sha recognizing this person.
