Summary

In this chapter, Teacher Kobayashi informs her students that Ji Tian Bu Mei is sick with a cold and won't be attending school. Meanwhile, at home, Bu Mei's mother reassures her before leaving, but Bu Mei feels something is off when she hears the doorbell. At a riverside campsite, Lin Feng, the PhD, and Akemi are barbecuing when they receive a strange signal from a detective badge, indicating that something might be wrong with Akemi, who is also home sick. Lin Feng decides to rush to Akemi's house, sensing danger. The chapter builds tension as Lin Feng recalls a recent robbery in Mihua Town and connects it to the current situation. Meanwhile, in an apartment, Ayumi is hiding from a robber, who discovers her and expresses dissatisfaction with the money he's found. Bu Mei, bound and gagged, watches in fear as the robber approaches Ayumi. Just then, a phone call from A Li Bo Shi brings hope, suggesting that help may be on the way.
