Summary

Tang Xiu instructs the Golden Lion to deliver cultivation resources to Nine Dragon Island for Ji Chimei to refine elixirs. He promotes Hao Lei to Elder Protector of the Tang Sect, doubling her resources and granting her rights in sect affairs, igniting envy among others. Meanwhile, Bai Yu Heng, a young master from the Bai Clan, confronts Tang Xiu, claiming Xue Yu as his woman and challenging him to a bet on hunting demon beasts. If Bai Yu Heng wins, Tang Xiu must stay away from Xue Yu; if Tang Xiu wins, Bai Yu Heng must retreat from Xue Yu and kneel before him. Tensions rise as both sides prepare for the challenge.
