Summary

In a few years, Lu Piao's cultivation will surpass his father Lu Ning, who feels both pride and resentment. Lu Ning reprimands Lu Piao for spying on the Xiao Family's young lady while bathing, but Lu Piao admits his mistake. Excited about a proposal from the Xiao Family, Lu Piao's enthusiasm fades when he realizes he hasn't proposed yet. Xiao Xue arrives, confronting Lu Piao about his spying, leading to a humorous exchange where Lu Piao struggles to appease her. Meanwhile, in the Lord's Mansion, City Lord Ye Zong discusses the increasing beast population threatening Radiant City and the need for a hunt. Ye Zong learns of a mysterious booklet found by Lord Ye Mo in a dangerous cave, which contains complex writing. Despite recognizing its value, Ye Zong is frustrated by his inability to understand it. Ye Xiu suggests inviting a young prodigy who can read ancient texts, but Ye Zong is reluctant due to personal grievances. Ultimately, he agrees to let Ye Xiu invite the prodigy. Ye Xiu visits Nie Li’s courtyard, noting the impressive cultivation of a young girl there, and encounters Nie Li, who remains unfazed by Ye Xiu's presence.
