Summary

Wagangzhai, located in Dongjun near the Yellow River, serves as a strategic military stronghold. Despite its remote nature, the Wagang Army, established by Zhai Rang, grew to over fifty thousand troops, including notable figures like Shan Xiong Xin and Xu Shiji. Internal divisions arose after an uprising, leading Zhai Rang to seek support from Wuchuan Prefecture, resulting in the arrival of Li Jian Cheng, who disguised himself as the famed Li Mi. Li Jian Cheng gained respect and affection among the troops through his generosity and sincerity. Meanwhile, tensions brewed in Wuchuan Prefecture as the Yuan family allied with others to challenge the leadership, stemming from dissatisfaction over power distribution. Li Jian Cheng received news from his brother-in-law, Chai Shao, about the turmoil and the expulsion of key figures. As he prepared to address the situation, he was summoned by Wei Zheng to discuss a proposed attack on the Luokou Warehouse, a plan he found unwise.
