Chapter 1057: A Strike from Within (Part 2). [1061]

Summary

Jiang Jing surveys the warships along the shore and wants to buy ten of them from Qiu Ming Da, but Qiu Ming Da is hesitant due to the Ministry of War's registration. They agree to discuss the matter further. Meanwhile, Liu Lan Cheng plans to destroy the warships to intimidate the Tang army and force the Jiangxia army to retreat. He leads a group of cavalrymen to attack the dock, and simultaneously, a dozen small boats and two ferries, led by Zhang Li, set fire to the warships. The Tang army is caught off guard, and Qiu Ming Da is forced to send all his soldiers to fight the fire. However, the Sui army takes advantage of the situation and launches a surprise attack, killing over 4,000 Tang soldiers. The dock fire rages for three days and nights, ultimately destroying all 400 warships.
