Summary

Cheng Dalei returns to his room, where Liu Zhi attends to him with hot water for his feet. He reflects on the harsh winter and the challenges of survival, including hunting for food. While out with Qin Man, they encounter two women digging for roots, which leaves Cheng feeling gloomy. Back at the dungeon, he finds the little white wolf and others gambling, and he decides to release some prisoners, but they express a desire to stay locked up. Confused by their reluctance, Cheng Dalei exits the dungeon and is led by Liu Zhi to a viewpoint where they admire the stunning scenery of Green Ox Mountain, highlighting the isolation of their stronghold.
