Summary

In the Yulin Fortress, now controlled by the Xiongnu, Qiequ Qiediaonan contemplates the brewing conflict between the Han and Xiongnu. He hopes for a scenario where both sides suffer losses, allowing him to rise in power. However, he realizes he is under the Han Emperor's control, reliant on a substance that could lead to his downfall if the Emperor doubts him. With a large Xiongnu force gathered, he fears a catastrophic loss if the Han prevails. To secure his ambitions, he devises a plan to monitor troop movements and inform the Han, aiming to manipulate the situation to his advantage while ensuring his own survival.
