Summary

An Zheng is deeply affected by the sudden death of Sang Hai Jing, the Dean of the Martial Arts Academy, whom he had met just hours before. During a tense meeting with the Empress Dowager and Yan Wang, An Zheng recounts his last encounter with Sang Hai Jing while omitting certain details. The atmosphere is charged with suspicion as multiple deaths, including that of the former Minister of War, are linked to a possible conspiracy against the Empress Dowager. Sang Rou, Sang Hai Jing's granddaughter, pleads with An Zheng for revenge, revealing her desperation and trust in him.
