Summary

Jin Xiao Chai and Ximen Xue discuss the recent peace talks involving Di Kun, with Ximen Xue expressing hope for a successful outcome despite her doubts. Suddenly, a messenger arrives, summoning Ximen Xue to the Heavenly Emperor's Palace. Upon arrival, she meets Di Kun, who praises her cultivation but reveals a troubling plan: he wants her to leverage her past relationship with Shi Mu, the leader of the Mitian Alliance, to ensure successful peace talks. Di Kun suggests using Ximen Xue as a bargaining chip, which deeply angers her but also leaves her feeling lost. After the meeting, she returns to the Hanli Palace, visibly shaken. Jin Xiao Chai notices her distress, and they discuss Di Kun's intentions. Feng Li then appears, suggesting that Ximen Xue should leave the Heavenly Court, arguing that they are merely pawns to Di Kun.
