Summary

Meng Yan and his companions, including the little rat and Cui Wen, navigate a dark, eerie space filled with wandering souls. The little rat comments on fate, revealing Cui Wen's weak fate due to her family's restrictions. As they explore, Cui Wen encounters a mural with moving figures, feeling a sinister presence. Suddenly, she's attacked and nearly pulled into the mural but manages to escape by cutting her hair with a dagger. Meng Yan, witnessing her struggle, contemplates how to deal with the fifteen souls hiding in the mural. He decides to destroy the mural to expel them, wielding an axe to strike at the painted figures, believing this will eliminate their hiding place.
