Summary

The narrative revolves around Meng Po's formidable reputation, which looms large even after thirty years of absence. Ma Huan, undeterred by this, seeks to confront her, while assassins observe the internal strife within the Wind Banner. Meanwhile, two children, Zhang Fu Gui and Little Yang, share moments of innocence amidst their harsh realities, revealing the cruelty of their upbringing. As they interact, three ominous figures, a Taoist, a merchant, and a monk, target Little Yang, believing her to be a witch. Despite Zhang Fu Gui's desperate attempts to protect her, he tragically falls victim to the Taoist's violent actions, leaving Little Yang in peril.
