Summary

Jiang Xie entrusted the Ancestral Dragon to Chen Hai, marking the completion of his life trials. Despite the weight of revelations, Chen Hai struggled to process the information as Jiang Xie prepared to leave, now frail and devoid of cultivation. Jiang Xie's departure was poignant; he advised Cang Yu to forget him and not to mention him to Zuo Er. As he stepped into the harsh cold, he ultimately succumbed, leaving behind a plume of purple lotus flame that consumed his remains. Meanwhile, Chen Hai faced the impending retreat of the demon forces, mobilizing troops and resources rapidly to counter the threat, despite being outnumbered. The Northern Frontier Army aimed to prevent the demons from retreating easily, utilizing fortified cities as strategic points to bolster their defenses against the elite winged demons.
