Summary

At dusk, Lu Chen and Yi Xin wait for A Tu, who has not returned. Yi Xin grows anxious and suggests searching for the dog, but Lu Chen believes it’s too dark. In a secluded house, Lu Chen lights a candle, and A Tu rests at his feet. Lu Chen examines A Tu, discovering bloodstains and a chilling handprint on its back, suggesting something sinister has occurred. The chapter ends with the candle being extinguished, plunging them into darkness.
