The Great Idle Person of the Zhenguan Era.

Chapter 100: Reopening the War. [103]

Summary

Li Su's family was accused of a scandal involving a brothel. Officer Hu reported the incident to Li Su's father, Li Dao Zheng, who was furious. However, Li Su claimed he was innocent and didn't visit the brothel. He stated he was only 16 and not interested in marriage, making it unlikely he'd visit such a place. Li Dao Zheng believed his son and suspected someone was spreading rumors to damage their family's reputation. Li Su achieved his goal of avoiding marriage, but his reputation was tarnished. He met with his friend Dong Yang by the river, where they discussed the rumor and Li Su's new pimple. Dong Yang was initially angry but didn't believe the rumor. Li Su decided to keep the truth a secret. They also discussed the Emperor's plan to attack a neighboring country and Li Su's strategy of "Pushing Kindness." Dong Yang offered to help Li Su clear his name, but he declined, saying his reputation wasn't important to him.
