Summary

In a tea room, scholars Zhongli You and Gu Qing Qiu discuss the talent of Jiang Han, a young man who has hidden his abilities for over a decade. They admire his poetry and ponder his disdain for officialdom, which led him to avoid the imperial exams. The Ninth Princess is interested in him, but his commoner status poses challenges. As they discuss potential mentorship, Jiang Zhen Sheng arrives, surprised to learn of his son's poetic talent. Despite skepticism from Jiang Zhen Sheng, Zhongli insists on Jiang Han's abilities. Gu Qing Qiu, however, remains doubtful due to contradictions in Jiang Han's character, leading to a debate on whether to mentor him.
