Summary

Li Nuo contemplates the role of luck as he prepares to draw cards for items. He collects various weapons and a half-finished Molotov cocktail during a selection task. Drawing cards, he acquires a firecracker, a useless spiritual orb, and a skill called "Inner Potential." He discards the spiritual orb for space in his inventory, investing gold coins to upgrade its quality. After exiting the "Hunter's Dream," he finds himself on a subway and registers for a "Reality Mode" task named "Detective" in the Cairo Game World, which involves other players. In this mode, he learns that he may transmigrate into another person to complete the task, but cannot use his items or skills, and that failure has real consequences.
