Entering Dao from Infancy

Chapter 10: Properties of the Omnipresent [9]

Summary

Li Hao reflects on the changes in his life since the old Taoist's bone measurement, noting a decline in visits from the ladies of the courtyards. As winter approaches, he receives gifts but feels isolated. Meanwhile, Lin Hai Xia trains Bian Ru Xue in swordplay, discovering her talent. Li Hao, awakening late, plays chess but realizes he needs a "chess heart" to gain experience, which frustrates him. He attempts to engage more with chess but finds it uninteresting. After reading about a historical chess match, he begins to appreciate chess more and records a score named "Wang Dao," embedding it into his Physical Path, granting him special attributes. He seeks more chess manuals but faces resistance from his servants. As he contemplates chess, he also observes Bian Ru Xue's diligent training and tries to help her improve, despite his reluctance to practice swordsmanship himself.
