Immortal Mortal.

Chapter 1: The Fallen Prince. [1]

Summary

Mo Wu Ji awakens to find himself in a strange place, realizing he is atop a grave mound surrounded by children playing a game reminiscent of a character from a novel he knows, Mu Rong Fu. He grapples with the possibility of having been reborn into Mu Rong Fu's body, reflecting on his past life and the betrayal he suffered from his lover, Xia Ruo Yin. As he pieces together his identity, he discovers he is actually Mo Xing He, a prince from the Bei Qin principality, in the capital of the Cheng Yu Kingdom. His family had sought recognition to inherit the throne after the disappearance of his grandfather, but they faced numerous obstacles, leading to his parents' deaths and his own madness. Mo Wu Ji recalls Wen Man Zhu, his childhood sweetheart, who has distanced herself from him due to his family's decline. He also meets Yan Er, a maid who has remained loyal to him. Despite their princely status, the Mo family is destitute, raising questions about their circumstances. As he contemplates his new reality, Mo Wu Ji decides to abandon the childish games of the past and focus on survival, reassuring Yan Er that he will not return to those dreams.
