Summary

In 1933 Shanghai, detective Long Zhan Tian investigates a mysterious corpse by the Huangpu River, which shows signs of strangulation and is accompanied by an eerie black mist. The body, linked to supernatural occurrences, prompts Long to delve deeper. He later meets Shen Xuerou, whose brother has been kidnapped, with a threatening letter demanding ransom. As Long uncovers connections to spirits and a red cloth, he prepares to confront the danger in a dilapidated warehouse. Upon arrival, they find her brother seemingly lifeless, shrouded in darkness and supernatural tension, as sinister laughter fills the air, hinting at deeper mysteries at play.
