Summary

In the seventh year of the Tianbao era, a middle-aged man named Li Taibai deceives a young beggar, Su Wen, out of his savings. Years later, Su Wen, now a laborer, encounters a young lady, Gao Qing Er, who promises him payment for his help. Suddenly, a bloodied old man attacks her, but Su Wen intervenes, displaying unexpected martial prowess. After a fierce struggle, he kills the old man, shocking everyone. Gao Xian Zhi, the girl's father, arrives and offers Su Wen treatment for his injuries, but the boy remains focused on his payment, humorously reminding the girl of her promise.
