Summary

As dusk fell, a young man named Zhang Xuan, a former special forces soldier, wandered through the Qinling mountains after accidentally entering a bottomless cave. Bare-chested and armed, he had lost his way and encountered two ancient-looking figures: a white-haired elder and a boy. Confused, Zhang learned he had landed in the late Sui Dynasty and was in Lushi County. The elder and boy, terrified yet sympathetic, offered him a small bundle of food and coins. Zhang, realizing the dire circumstances of the time, felt a mix of despair and determination. After a night of reflection under the stars, he decided to embrace his new reality and set out to explore this era. The next day, after a brief encounter with the elder and boy, who were leaving for Xiangyang, Zhang resolved to venture towards Hong Nong County, where war loomed as Yang Xuan Gan's forces faced defeat. As he crafted makeshift weapons in the wilderness, he suddenly heard cries for help, indicating that his adventures were just beginning.
