Summary

Yu Du Xiu wakes up in a broken thatched hut, feeling weak and disoriented. He realizes he has been reborn into the body of a twelve-year-old scholar who lost his family to a devastating plague. The village is impoverished, and Yu Du Xiu reflects on the futility of his previous life as a cultivator in a world where magic has vanished. Struggling with his frail body, he recalls his little sister, who has been taking care of him. After receiving a piece of venison from a neighbor, he contemplates survival and his responsibilities.
