Summary
Zhao Cheng Hu tells the story of an elderly woman who lost her only son to a tiger. In her grief, she sought justice from the magistrate, who reluctantly agreed to capture the tiger. A drunk servant, Li Neng, took on the task, enduring hardships until he managed to bind the tiger. The tiger admitted to the killing but was pardoned by the magistrate under ancient law. The old woman prospered, believing the tiger brought her fortune, and they lived in harmony. Upon her death, the tiger mourned her deeply, leading to the establishment of the "Righteous Tiger Shrine" in her honor.Full content
