Summary

In the East Sea, an isolated island blooms with eternal five-colored winter flowers, attracting the curious Zhang Sheng. Upon arrival, he encounters a beautiful courtesan in a red gown, who captivates him. As they flirt, she warns him of the son of the sea's approach, but she mysteriously vanishes. A giant snake then ensnares Zhang, injuring him. Desperate, he uses poisonous fox medicine mixed with his blood to poison the snake, which ultimately dies after collapsing a tree. Zhang, left dazed and injured, suspects the courtesan was a snake spirit and suffers from illness for over a month after the encounter.
