Chapter 000: Wu Ling. [65]
Summary
In the Wu Ling realm, a once-unknown gentleman's voice commanded respect. The residents revered the City God, celebrating his longevity through vibrant festivals filled with music, food, and unity. However, the gentleman criticized the lavishness of these celebrations, arguing for frugality, and struck the idol in anger, prompting a cultural shift. Despite his integrity, he tragically fell and died after a year. His death caused a tumult at the City God’s temple, leading the townsfolk to honor him by building a shrine in his name. This shrine eventually became as significant as the original City God, resulting in Wu having two revered City Gods today.Full content
