Summary

In "The Old Woman of Porridge Soup," Han Sheng returns home after the New Year to find his wife disturbed by an eerie presence. An old woman, resembling a frail figure with chicken-like skin, appears and begins preparing porridge soup in their kitchen. Terrified, the wife hides the pot after the old woman leaves briefly to fetch a ladle. Upon her return, the woman panics and awakens the household, causing the old woman to depart. When the wife finally inspects the pot, she discovers it filled with grotesque worms, revealing the ominous nature of the old woman's intentions.
