Summary

In the village of Chang Shan, a farmer named Chang Shan An Weng faced trouble with thieves during the buckwheat harvest. To protect his crops, he stayed as a lookout but encountered a giant ghost. After scaring it off with a fierce attack, he warned the villagers, who initially doubted him. The ghost returned, prompting the villagers to arm themselves. An Weng bravely confronted the ghost again, only to be injured in the encounter. He later succumbed to his injuries, and the ghost was never seen again, leaving villagers puzzled about its true nature.
