Summary

In "The Southern Guest," a scorpion merchant visits Linqu annually, capturing scorpions with wooden pincers. One year, sensing danger from a scorpion ghost, he panics and asks the Zhu Ren for help. The Zhu Ren hides him under a large urn just as a fierce-looking man arrives searching for the guest. After the man leaves, the Zhu Ren discovers that the Southern Guest has mysteriously transformed into a pool of blood, indicating a tragic fate.
