Summary

In the tranquil realm of Yishui, a scholar known as Xiu Cai leads a serene life until two captivating Beauties unexpectedly visit him. One reveals a mysterious white silk scarf with cursive script, while the other presents a chunk of platinum, which he discreetly hides. As the Beauties engage him playfully, the platinum mysteriously vanishes, leaving them unfazed. The Xiu Cai reflects on the hollow pretensions of city-dwellers and the absurdity of their social interactions, where wealth is flaunted and false politeness prevails.
