Summary

In Guangping, scholar Xiang Ru fell in love with the beautiful neighbor girl, Hong Yu. Their secret meetings led to a promise of eternal love, but the father, Feng Weng, disapproved, leading to a tragic fallout. After Weng's death and Hong Yu's disappearance, Xiang Ru sought revenge against the corrupt Song family, who had wronged them.
