Summary

In Laizhou, scholar Peng Hao Gu felt lonely during the Mid-Autumn Festival away from home. He invited Qiu Sheng, whom he disliked, to drink. A guest named Hai Qiu arrived, charming and well-dressed, bringing a celestial-like woman from West Lake. They sang and celebrated, but as dawn approached, the woman vanished, leaving Peng heartbroken. Three years later, he learned of Juan Niang, the courtesan he met, during a banquet. She had become arrogant due to fame but recognized Peng, recalling their shared song. Their past connection resurfaced, rekindling memories of the enchanting night by the lake.
