Summary

In Dongchang, Yu Xiao Si and his wife Xia encounter Wang Xin Zhai, whose family faces financial ruin after a robbery. Wang's daughter Ren Zhen is offered as a concubine to the Huangs in exchange for debt forgiveness, causing familial turmoil. Xia, moved by their plight, tries to help but faces her own tragedy when a thief steals her money meant to aid them. After attempting suicide, she is revived and later helps the Wang family. The narrative unfolds with love, sacrifice, and eventual resolution as the girl, once a pawn in a debt dispute, finds her place in a new family, ultimately leading to joy and a new beginning for all involved.
