Summary

Tang Gong, a scholar from the Xin Chou era, experiences a near-death moment where he reflects on his life, feeling remorse for past misdeeds. As he lays dying, his spirit detaches from his body, leading him on a journey where he encounters a giant and a monk who guides him towards enlightenment. At a holy temple, a deity acknowledges his sincerity but notes his decayed state, stating only a Bodhisattva can save him. After earnest prayers, the Bodhisattva revives him using sacred elements, ultimately leading to his miraculous healing after seven days of presumed death.
