Summary

In Jining, a man named Sheng was notorious for his drinking prowess, despite his poverty. When a new official invited him to drink, Sheng took advantage of the situation, accepting bribes to delay grievances. His disrespect towards the official led to his arrest, but upon discovering Sheng's lack of property, he was released with an order to leave the city. Friends helped him acquire a small plot of land, but Sheng remained defiant. He believed that true gentlemen wouldn’t harm others and that those without power, like him, faced less danger. Despite his arrogance and complaints, his wild nature left a lasting impression.
