Summary

Li Bo Yan, known for his courage, fell ill and told his family to wait for his return after he died. In the Netherworld, he witnessed the punishment of a man wrongfully claiming maidens and another falsely accused of theft. Li calmed a fire in the hall, allowing the trials to proceed. Both the accused and his accuser were punished, then revived after three days. Upon returning home, Li met ghostly figures longing for home and agreed to help. He later conversed with Hu Sheng about a purification ritual. Wang, recovering from his punishment, expressed gratitude to Li. The Chronicler noted that the Netherworld's punishments are severe, yet those wronged bear no grudges.
