Summary

Chen Sheng Bi, a poor clerk, rescues a wounded pig-dragon while serving under Jia Wan. After returning from a stormy journey, he encounters a hunting party led by a princess. He hides, overhears their conversations, and finds a red scarf left behind. When he shows it to a woman, she warns him of dire consequences, but the princess may spare him. After a night of anxiety, the princess invites him for a banquet, grateful for his previous act of kindness. As festivities begin, Sheng Bi is overwhelmed by the unexpected turn of events and the blossoming affection between him and the princess.
