Summary

Summary of the story: Wang Sheng, a young man from a modest family, marries into a wealthy family but faces humiliation and mistreatment. Contemplating suicide, he encounters a mysterious lady named Jin Se and her maid Chun Yan at the "Nine Nether Garden," a place for lost souls. He becomes a minor official and proves his loyalty by protecting Jin Se during a thief attack. When a tiger attacks, he sacrifices his arm to save her, and miraculously, his wound heals quickly. Jin Se begins to treat him with great care and respect, sharing everything with him.
