Summary

A troublesome fox terrorized the household of scholar Dong Shidu, causing chaos and panic. Seeking help, the lord consulted Sima and then a Taoist named Jiao Mian. The Taoist attempted to ward off the spirit through talismans and rituals. During a confrontation, a maid struck the fox and collapsed. The Taoist used mystical means to communicate with the fox through the maid, compelling it to leave. Eventually, several white spheres appeared and disappeared, and peace was restored to the household.
