Summary

Dong Hui Fang, a poor noodle seller in Qingzhou, encounters a beautiful girl who offers to be his wife. Despite his mother's initial skepticism, they accept her after a neighbor's encouragement. The girl and her maids transform their lives with luxury. However, after a few years, she reveals she must leave but promises to return. Dong later marries again, but the girl reappears, reminding him of their bond. She departs, foretelling her return at the end of his life. Dong, now over sixty, reflects on his simple life and the extraordinary love he experienced, signifying the Immortal's appreciation for sincerity.
