Summary

In the county of Ling, Li Tai Shi observed strange occurrences involving ancient artifacts in his household, leading him to suspect his servants. Despite their protests, he locked the study, only to find it mysteriously opened at dawn. One night, a brilliant light revealed a mystical fox, which the servants attempted to capture. The fox, with boneless legs, resisted but was ultimately bound. Recognizing its magical nature, Li Tai Shi chose not to harm it, instead covering it with a container. After releasing the fox, the peculiar incidents ceased, indicating a connection between the fox and the disturbances.
