Summary

Du Xiao Lei lives in the western mountains with his blind mother and struggles with poverty but enjoys good food. When he instructs his rebellious wife to prepare dumplings, she mistakenly adds a dung beetle, making them inedible. Upon discovering this, Du becomes furious but is conflicted about punishing his wife in front of his mother. After some eerie moments, he finds his wife has transformed into a pig with human-like legs. The local magistrate learns of this transformation and punishes her by parading her through the city as a warning. Tan Wei Chen witnesses this bizarre event.
